This works great on Chrome, but doesn't display message on Firefox. What have I done wrong?

Additional research shows this is distinctly firefox's doing. My apologies.

Hey David,

I couldn't reproduce this; are you saying it's specific to one (configuration of) Firefox? I'm still interested in understanding this.
